As
an adolescent, Bob was artistically influenced by record and book covers and
honed his skills by recreating these images in acrylic paintings making sure
not to leave even the smallest detail behind. During this time, while still
in high school, his ability earned him the Johanna Mulhal scholarship for artistically
gifted students that led Bob to Syracuse University where he earned his BFA.
While attending school, Bob found his artistic influences in many places ranging
from the dramatic perspective of comic book drawing, to the delicate layering
of tempera in a Wyeth work. As a result of trying his hand in a multitude of
styles and media, Bob found his way to creating a world that encompasses a variety
of textures and moods. |
