Tommaso "il perate"

Alfredo's story about Tommaso and his dog is truly wonderful. It's wonderful because it's a simple and beautiful story, a story of love: one man who lives alone with his dog because he prefers its company to that of men and women. OK, so you think " so what?" Well, as you can see from their expressions (the man's and the dog's) it's clear that people weren't very friendly towards them. They are loners who have no part in polite society. There is an intimacy and complicity between them, a blurring of individual personalities so common in people who have lived together for a long time. For a flicker of a second you would think they even had the same way of looking, the same eyes and the same vision of the world ……… Text by: Guy Mandery
