Levanzo is the smallest and nearest of the 3 Egadi islands. Part of the island has been designated a natural marine reserve and a protected archaeological underwater park for the wreckage of Roman and Carthaginian ships lost in ancient battles. The small village has 2 bars and 2 excellent restaurants. You can go on excursions round the island by boat and there are a few companies which offer this service. By boat you can visit the grotta del genovese, a cave famous for its paleolithic art which contains paintings of animals and human figures dating back 10,000 years.
Fishing is a popular activity with the locals so you are always sure to get fresh fish.

Self- sail dinghy boat hire so you can go round the island independently and also the marine Reserve ( these boats are authorised to go into the marine reserve).
Price ranges from 40 – 90 euros per day depending on the type of boat.
