Piazza San Michele used to be already in the past a very important spot for the town of Lucca.In Roman times this square hosted the commercial and administrative activities of the city. Around 1070 the construction of the beautiful church (San Michele) begun, the square was named after the church. On the front of the church at the top you can see a statue, the archangel San Michele who is about to kill the dragon; this statue has become a symbol of Lucca. Also today Piazza San Michele is a well-known meeting point thanks to its many delicious coffee bars with their little outside tables , the elegant stores and its various markets. These holiday apartments in Piazza San Michele are situated in an elegant “palazzo”, which is located at the apse of the church. The palazzo was conscientiously restored and within the palazzo two high quality apartments were created. Two apartments are rented as short-term holiday lets and the others are rented long term.
