Description
Lucca is a little town rich in art and culture and well-known as the jewel of Tuscany Lucca is one of the few towns which has maintained its town walls intact. These walls surround the historic centre with its many churches, towers, palaces, museums, traditional boutiques and characteristic lanes. It is forbidden to drive by car on the wall, therefore it is really a beautiful and fantastic stroll. From the walls you have magnificent views onto the architectural beauties of the town and the rolling surrounding hills. In Lucca you may take lovely walks on the city walls, climb on one of the towers and enjoy the quaint view on the rooftops, visit the museum of modern art or that of the comics and much, much more.
The city also offers a wide range of events the whole year around: the Summer Festival in month of July, classical music concerts (among which some are dedicated to the beautiful music of Giacomo Puccini), the antique and the arts and crafts market, the Comics and Games exhibition in October etc.
Composition
Lilly is a lovely small apartment (39 sq metres) located in the city centre of Lucca, within short distance from Via Fillungo, the main commercial street of the centre. This recently refurbished apartment cleverly utilises its limited space. Every detail has been carefully chosen so as to create a colourful and comfortable environment.
The yellow, orange, red and green colours of the walls add a cheerful note to the apartment. Both bedrooms face west and are therefore bright for the main part of the day. Guests will enjoy waking up in the morning and enjoy the beautiful views onto the citys roofs and above all onto the Guinigi Tower, which is visible in the distance.
Entrance in the building is on the ground floor by means of a few steps, 2 flights of stairs (the first one is steep), apartment entrance on the second floor: 1 bathroom painted in red with bathtub/shower, washing machine, WC, bidet. A hall leads to the kitchen painted in green with stone sink, stove/oven (4 burners), fridge with freezer compartment, a small walk through dining/living room with draw-leaf table, sofa, TV, chairs. 1 double bedroom which is very bright with 2 windows with lovely views onto the Tower Guinigi, 1 bedroom with 1 bunk bed and wardrobe.
