Description
Patti is an ancient Sicilian small town situated on the northern coast of Sicily, 65 Km away on the western side of Messina. In its surroundings beautiful beaches of sand alternate with rocky cliffs in one of the most attractive stretches of coastline in Sicily. Worth visiting are: the Norman Cathedral, the ruins of the Roman Villa with its precious mosaics, the Museum of the Ceramics; Tyndaris - very ancient Roman-Greek town founded in 396 B.C. whose important archaeological site still maintains the original Greek Theatre, the Basilica, the thermal baths and the ruins of the ancient walls; the Natural Reserve of Marinello with its peculiar dunes of sand enclosing three salty water little lakes and also with its interesting marine caves reachable either on
foot or by boat. Some of the most important events worth attending are: la processione delle varette (religious parade taking place on the Good Friday at Easter), Tindari Festival which is a prose, music, ballet review on stage in the impressive Greek theatre of Tindari during the summer months of July and August; the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows - with its unusualr and spectacular procession on the sea and popular games on the road - occurring on the second weekend of September.

This beautiful farmhouse ( 150 sq metres) is situated just a stone's throw away from a wide sandy beach in the vicinity of Patti, an ancient small town on the northern coast of Sicily, 60 km on the western side of Messina. Arranged over two floors, this house has been recently restored to retain its original, architectural features and designed with comfort in mind. Simple yet elegantly decorated, its ground floor houses a spacious living/dining room with a kitchen area and a bathroom. On the first floor, accessed also via an external staircase, are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Outside the house, a shaded terrace surrounded by olive and citrus trees awaits the guests. Besides being an excellent starting point for summer holidaymakers, only a few metres away from the sea, this holiday property enjoys a rural location. Moreover it offers a great base for exploring the many towns and attractions of the surrounding area, such as the Aeolian Islands, the old town centres of Taormina and Cefalω, the close archeological sites of Tindari and the Marinello nature reserve, the typical towns of the Etna and of the Nebrodi Park.
