This villa is situated in a very natural Mediterranean landscape with typical vegetation of this area, called “Macchia Mediterranea”. The nearest village is Fulgatore (3km), with shops, restaurants, post office, banks.Places of interest to visit are Trapani, The Archaeological Park of Segesta with its doric temple and splendid theatre, The Archaeological Park of Selinunte with the Acropolis and various temples one of which is in excellent condition; The Nature Reserve of “Zingaro”,A string of pearls, seven kilometres long; Erice is a charming medieval town 571 metres above sea level ,this charming town is located on the top of Monte San Giuliano, from where you can enjoy a splendid view of Trapani; the Egadi islands of Levanzo, Favignana and Marettimo.
Composition
This magnificent Baglio, ( old Sicilian farmhouse) is built on 2 floors. Entrance via the ground floor into a huge living room with kitchen living area with charming stone chimney place. Almost all the furniture is steeped in history.
The large kitchen area is full of characteristic Sicilian furniture and fully equipped There are two double bedrooms (one with French bed) and two bathrooms (one with bath and the other one with shower). All of these rooms are elegant. Finally, the old loft has been converted into a bedroom . This loft area has the added benefit of a small kitchen plus a further living room.
On the first floor you’ll find the master double bedroom, which is very aristocratic, with ensuite bathroom and balcony from where you can take in the beautiful countryside and views.
There are wide furnished verandas, partly sheltered, surround the villa to ensure guests will enjoy outdoor life to the full. The barbecue area is fully furnished, with an old wood-burning stove ( just the right place to prepare open-air meals).The garden surrounding the house has a distinct Mediterranean character and a path leads to the lovely swimming pool ( 10 metres x 5 metres)
