A unique place in the world with many little jewels all around. The territory overlooked by Mount Etna offers several surprises to visitors here. Not just the majestic volcano and its national Park are worth exploring, but also the various localities enclosed in this protected area. Ragalna is a characteristic little village 830 metres above sea level - on the south-western side of Mount Etna. Surrounded by fruit orchards, olive groves and vineyards the village of Ragalna boasts prestigious historical monuments such as the Chiesa della Madonna del Carmelo (Our Lady of Carmel's Church - XIX century) whose annual feast day is at the end of September; the Chiesa di Santa Barbara ; the Chiesa di Don Bosco and the Chiesa della Madonna delle Nevi (Our Lady of the Snows' Church). The town of Paternò is not far from Ragalna… In the small town of Paternò is the historic boulevard named Via Vittorio Emanuele full of aristocratic dwellings and considered as the outdoor parlour of the town and also some historical buildings rising on the higher part of the town (called the Historical Hill) are really worth paying a visit. One such monuments particularly worth seeing is: the Chiesa Madre (Mother Church - 1342) with its monumental flight of steps; the architectonic complex of San Francesco alla Collina (Saint Francis on the Hill - 1346) with its gothic style church and the Castello Normanno (Norman Castle - 1072). At the basement of the hill - where since the XIV century onwards developed the low part of the town - the ex-monastery of the Santissima Annunziata (Our Most Holy Lady of the Annunciation – XVII century) and the churches of Santa Barbara and Santa Caterina d'Alessandria. Acireale is Km 30 away, Catania is Km 40 away, Taormina is Km 65 away, Caltagirone is Km 80 away, Siracusa is Km 90 away, Messina is Km 110 away, Ragusa is Km 130 away, Palermo is Km 210 away.

The dwelling is part of a nice estate that adjoins the owner’s main house, a small cottage (can also be rented,code 1866 for 4 people) and a beautiful shared swimming pool. Surrounded by a well kept, luxuriant garden. This little hideaway is the perfect refuge for couples wanting to relax in a comfortable setting, offering a warm, romantic atmosphere. In its tastefully decorated interior the dining area and the cooking corner merge neatly into the sleeping area with a double sofa bed, a single bed and a bathroom. Outside its two small terraces, the main garden area and the pool framed by verdant plants, flowers and low lava stone walls, invite guests to while away relaxing hours in the shade of mature trees. Its great location enables guests to easily exploit interesting excursions in the beautiful surrounding area.
