Chiatri is a very charming, small village set in the gentle green hills separating Lucca and the Mediterranean Sea. Chiatri was the summer residence of the famous composer Giacomo Puccini. The musician fell in love with this unique setting and wrote: “The panorama of Chiatri is truly enchanting offering views down the hillside to the coast from Livorno to La Spezia, from Arno river to Serchio river, on clear days you can get a glimpse of Corsica, the islands of Gorgona and Capraia, the Park of San Rossore and Migliarino”.
From Chiatri it is only a 20 min. drive to Lucca, and the beautiful Versilia beaches with the famous holiday resorts and the attractive nightlife are within an easy reach.
Castagneto is a pretty, small holiday home in the centre of Chiatri.
