Many characteristics villages such as Pieve a Elici, Gualdo or Montigiano are situated in the municipality of Massarosa, which lies in the North of Tuscany – on the hills between Lucca and the sea. You have stunning views from these villages onto the wonderful landscape and in the same time you may discover a nature of breathtaking beauty. This splendid antique villa lies in the historical heart of Gualdo, a few steps from the square of the church. The villa was restored with great care; attention was paid to the fact to maintain the original character and materials of the house. The property was converted into 7 comfortable holiday homes and a small depandánce. There is a completely fenced garden (3’000 sqm) at the guests’ disposal which is equipped with tables, chairs, barbeque, swimming pool (set in earth – 12 x 6 m), deckchairs and sun-umbrellas. You will spend a holiday in the sign of nature and relax – enjoy the spacious swimming pool and the sun, dine in the outdoor and organize trips on foot or by bicycle on the various tracks in the near surroundings. The house disposes of an ideal spot to discover the beautiful Roman church of Pieve a Elici, the manse of S. Caterina di Bozzano, the natural park of Migliarino, the Roman springs of Massciuccoli and the lake of the same name and the nice sandy beaches of the Versilia (10km). Lovers of Tuscan food may taste the wonderful specialities in the characteristic restaurant and which lies only a few steps from the holiday home or participate at one of the many events which take place in the nearby villages where evenings/nights are filled with fine food, music and dancing activities. Finally, to stimulate also your spirit and not only your body you may attend a classic concert which take place at the springs of Massaciuccoli or in the Roman church of Pieve a Elici., visit the famous opera festival, which is held every year in July and August.
