San Vito Lo Capo is an ideal holiday destination thanks to its deep blue sea and its fine white sandy beach.
San Vito Lo Capo is a small town on a splendid bay. The town is relatively modern even though it offers some architecturally interesting structures such as the Main Church and the Chapel of S. Crescenzia. Via Venza is a small road by the Main Church, parallel to Via Savoia, the main road, which goes to the beach. The main feature of this street is the decoration created and maintained by the shop owners and inhabitants who live there. There are several murals on the walls painted by local artists, several old watering troughs used now as vases for geraniums and other colourful flowers.
From San Vito Lo Capo one can reach the Riserva Naturale Orientata (Natural Reserve) Lo Zingaro. One should also visit the Sea Museum in Via Savoia. The International Couscous Festival which takes place in September should not be missed.
It is about 40 minutes by car from Trapani.
