About the Artist:
  Early the nomadic artist Guillevic applies himself diligently to drawing and music. This son of a fisherman have a passionate interest in Asian art, studies at the Seminary and fascinated by medieval religious art with Giotto. He works as a sailor then enlists in the french Navy. Paris: scrupulously studies painting at the Louvre and Orsay. London: studies at the Tate Gallery. Then Los angeles, Morocco and coming back to Paris for studying History of Art and Business of Art (during 2 years he works as an art dealer) before going to Spain for studying El Greco, Velasquez and Goya. Studies harmony with the composer Giulivi. 1993, Guillevic commits himself totally to painting. Joins the studio of Llamosas. 1994-1996, Brittany, to Lorient where he studies at the School of Fine Art and at the National School of Music (organ and piano). In 1997, he opens his studio and gallery, Pap'art and the exhibitions follow one another. 1998, an accident in the studio leads to the original technique that the artist dubs "BG" (Brown Guillevic). Popular and primitive art will be his primary sources of inspiration. 1999, commission of 14 paintings for the church Notre Dame de la Clarté -Brittany. Pont-Aven : founds the ideorealist movement with Jacquier and Perroches. 2000, international exhibition in Mexico, with a conference. Essentialist experiences with Indians. 2001, exhibition to Phoenix. Since, the works of this nomadic artist are based on color and labyrinth.
