group used Paul McCarthy's conceptual chess set, viewed at the Gilbert
Collection, as inspiration to construct their own chess set, made from
objects in the Artscope Studio. People spoke about the reason for choosing
the individual pieces, and how they represented the actual chess pieces.
group also celebrated Christmas, as this was the final session before
Christmas break, and Zahid used a calculator to work out the number
squares on the chess board. Keith read an extract from Italo Calvino's
'Invisible Cities', which refers to chess.
