Workshop 5 - 20 Jan. 2004

The construction of two full sets of chess pieces was today's objective.
Bernard and Roberto, constructed a conceptual set made of wire rods, that
were manipulated to form abstract shapes. Zahid, Robert and Monica, used
sheets of fine wire mesh, to mould their pieces. The resultant forms were
assembled on the boards and photographed. These pieces will be used as the
starting point for the next workshop, where they will be worked with liquid
materials, like melted wax, latex and plaster.
