Now that the individual chess pieces had been constructed, this week's workshop was dedicated to the making on two chessboards. Bernard and Roberto decided to make a board from polystyrene components painted with acrylic and connected by string. The striking yellow and red squares was reminiscent of Yayoi Kusama's 'Pumpkin Chess' that the group saw at 'The Art of Chess Exhibition' at the Gilbert Collection last year. Robert and Monica made a 'portable' board from painted textile.

The pieces were arranged on the new boards and photographed.
