Kim C. DEAN

View a new perspective on life and the human spirit. Experience the emotion of a mother/artist. I describe my work as objective and non-objective abstract. As a painter, I am motivated by my life's experiences. I hope to depict that constant battle from within. The power struggle over that which is complete happiness to that which is sorrowful. Searching for perfection within a painting which is never accomplished. What is perfection? When I create, I hope to make the viewer experience motion and movement within the canvas. Over-lapping intense color and creating a very busy little environment. I love the use of color and heavy texture. Every curve and line is important to the piece. I want my paint brush and knife to depict the emotion I am feeling at the point of contact with the canvas.
