Medical English - Having passed the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English at Eden House College I wanted a new challenge. Established in 1968, this College is dedicated to providing professional, rewarding and enjoyable courses to both U.K. and international students.

Over the past four decades, it has received many thousands of students; from those wishing to come to London in order to further their English language skills to local professionals looking to gain essential computing and I.T. qualifications or simply to learn a new modern language.

Located in an excellent position on the corner of Soho street and Oxford street, by the quiet and pleasant greens of Soho square, the college is within easy reach of all major transport networks and a huge array of theatres, museums, art galleries, restaurants and leisure centres.

This college is an accredited test centre (and Advanced test centre) for the British Computer Society's ECDL qualification, is accredited by the British Council and is a member of EnglishUK.

Composition
General English

The College's general English courses are committed to providing international students with effective communication skills for real life situations. Course durations run from 1 week up to 52 weeks.

Part Time Evenings - (8 hours per week)

Part time classes from 18:00 to 20:00 each day Monday to Thursday.

Full Time - (15 hours per week)

This is our standard general English course providing a 3 hour lesson each day from Monday to Friday, with one 20 minute break.

Extended Full Time - (21 hours per week)

Intensive - (30 hours per week)Intensive courses provide two 3 hour lessons each day, Monday to Friday. Each lesson has one 20 minute break.

Business English
The focus of this course is English for business purposes. Business lexis and register are explored, formal letter and report writing are practiced along with interview and business role play. The course also investigates modern business methodology. Course durations run from 1 week up to 52 weeks.

Medical English
Preparing Doctors, Nurses and health professionals for positions in the English speaking medical field.
Eden House College's medical English will enable participants to produce verbal reports and will develop medical vocabulary. Model dialogues between patients and medical professionals are analysed and practiced. The course also includes work on developing a pleasant bedside manner in addition to increasing understanding of common idiomatic language.

English Plus
English Plus courses are an excellent way for students to extend their period of study with an additional elective subject. Students will combine 15 hours per week of their Major English subject (General, Business, Medical or IELTS) with 6 hours per week of an elective (Computing or Verbal Communication)

IELTS
The perfect preparation for an IELTS examination, these course will familiarise students with the actual exam itself and develop essential examination skills and strategies.
