Sels
College is situated in the heart of London near the Royal
Opera House in Covent Garden, a couple of minutes' walk
from Covent Garden underground station. Covent Garden, London
is famous for its shops, street performers, bars, restaurants,
theatres and the Royal Opera House. Covent Garden is a square
packed with restaurants, bars and fashionable boutiques.
Surrounded by theatres the area is recognised as the capital's
premier entertainment and leisure destination.
About
the school
There
are 8 ongoing levels of General English from beginners to
Cambridge Proficiency. The average age of our students is
22 (youngest being 17 and oldest around 50). Students can
enrol any Monday, but see below for summer courses.
Students
are taught by qualified and experienced teachers in small
groups of 5 to 9 or on a one-to-one basis. All students
get individual attention and ample practice. In the break
time, students and teachers stay together for conversational
practice. Our teachers are hard-working and sympathetic
to the learner’s difficulties and problems. They are
professional, caring and enthusiastic. We use tried and
tested techniques to ensure the students’ success
with English.
Students
can stay with selected host-families in central London,
in hotels or in university of London halls of residence
in Russell Square, about 15 minutes on foot, from 11 June
to early September. The halls are £28 a night for
a single room with breakfast or £33 if an evening
meal is required (no access to kitchen).
In
July and August students can study for 2, 4, 6, 8 weeks
or longer starting on 2, 16, 30 July, 13 and 28 August.
Winter courses start again in September. Early booking advisable.
We
teach English in small groups of 5 to 9 (average 6). Students
can choose to study:

Examination preparation for IELTS and Cambridge FCE / CAE
/ CPE
There
is a reading room with free Internet access. We have weekly
social activities and weekend excursions.
