Nicole Aimiee MACALUSO A World within a world Momentary vignettes, cameos Everything relating to time, not necessarily history, not necessarily feminist. Modern iconography transformed like a caterpillar to a butterfly. My art, painted relief, uses the fluid medium of watercolors along with a base of handmade-recycled papier mache as well as a final tactile enclosure of clear varnish to make time tangible. My work at first isnšt abstract, in fact it begins in a high realistic state, only when it is transformed to sculpture is it then abstract, Outsideš the normal and Conceptual. They are poetry about life. Growing up in a family of artists (my Father is an artist as well as my mother is a literary artist), has lead me to develop a deep devotion to the study of the human figure and to all aspects of painting and multiple media.
