How to get to the Aeolian islands

You can get to the islands from Palermo, Cefalu, Messina, Reggio Calabria and Naples but the best connections are from Milazzo port.

The International airport Catania Fontanarossa is only150 Km from Milazzo and is directly connected to Milazzo port by an afternoon daily bus, Giuntabus - +39 090 673782 / +39 090 675749. From Catania airport there is also a bus service to Messina station SAIS. Messina is connected to Milazzo by bus Giuntabus or train Treni Italia

Palermo Airport - Falcone Borsellino (PMO) offers direct flights from all major Italian airports, and low-cost connections with European cities such as Amsterdam, Barcelona, Köln, London, Paris and others.
