Suzzette SOLANO

Suzzette Solano, an artist of Spanish and French ancestry, was born in Puerto Rico. Currently, living in the US with her husband she confines herself to create art almost every day. Drawing and crafting since she could hold a pencil her parents arranged for her to receive painting tutelage under Spanish master Luis Heredia at the age of eight. Her educational background comprises a bachelor and a master in mechanical engineering from Cornell University and the University of Rochester respectively. With a vast experience in engineering management and several patents attesting to her technical acumen her creative genius unleashed a deep desire to go back to her roots in painting. The range of work is varied with works in oil, pastels, graphite, carbon, computer graphics, mosaics, stain glass and others. Recently, and after some exploration she found her love for woodworking skipped a generation. Her mother's dad was a furniture maker. This confirmation of innate creativity has given her new strength to realize she is in the right path.
