Lucca How to arrive

By plane

The nearest airport is Pisa international airport Galileo Galilei (18 Miles from Lucca - Information: 050 500707. Tickets: 050 849404 lost Luggage: 050849400) The airport offers direct flights from all major Italian and international airports, and low-cost (Ryanair - Easyjet and others) connections with European cities such as Amsterdam, Barcelona, London Stansted and Gatwick, Liverpool, Bristol, Paris, Madrid, Oslo and others. From Pisa airport there is a bus service to Lucca (the first bus is at 5.55 and the last is at 21.00) The bus stop is outside the arrival terminal and the journey is about 50 minutes. More info at F.lli Lazzi - From Pisa airport there is also a train to Lucca, the train takes about 40/55 minutes, there are only few trains that goes directly to Lucca for most of trains you have to change at Pisa central. There is a train every 20 minutes, the first train is at 06.41 and the last is at 21.35. Timetable and prices at Treni Italia. From Pisa airport a taxi to Lucca cost about 50 euros and takes about 30 minutes.

Florence International Airport "Amerigo Vespucci". Is at 50 Miles from Lucca. From the airport you can take a city line bus (every 30 minutes) to the Train Station of Santa Maria Novella and then a train to Lucca. Bus plus train will take about 2 and half hour. Timetable and prices at Treni Italia Just outside Florence train station there is also a bus service to Lucca, the journey will take 1 hour and 45 minutes. More info at F.lli Lazzi - Ofcourse the easiest way to get to Lucca is by Taxi that shoud cost about 80 Euros.

By Train

By car

From Pisa take the A11 Highway (Pisa Nord-Firenze), exit at Lucca

From Florence: take the A11 Highway (Firenze-Pisa Nord), exit at Lucca.

From Genova : take the A12 Highway (Genova-Livorno), enter the A11 Highway at Viareggio (direction Firenze), exit at Lucca.

From Rome : take the A1 Highway (Roma-Milano), enter the A11 Highway (Firenze-Pisa Nord), at Firenze (direction Pisa Nord), exit at Lucca.

From Milan : take the A1 Highway (Milano-Roma), enter the A15 Highway at Parma Ovest (direction La Spezia), enter the A12 Highway after Aulla (direction Livorno), enter the A11 Highway at Viareggio (direction Firenze), exit at Lucca.
