Eilidh Crumlish in Sicily

ART Residence in Sicily with 10 days exhibition - Paceco - March 2001

We both had a very wonderful trip. Everybody was lovely and helpful, especially Enzo and Rosario, and we were very sad to leave. We feel that we have made some good friends in trapani. The apartment was great, and I made quite a few drawings from the rooftops, and photographs too. We didnt make any work in the apartment in the end, as I felt it was more important to get out and about, therefore returning with a lot of drawings and photographs to work from in London, which is the way I prefer to work. It was a really inspirational time, we saw so much, and I even had a bash at Sicilian cookery, with the help of Enzo and Rosario. We enjoyed the experience of hanging our exhibition in Paceco, it was a great chance for us to meet some friends of arteutile.
