dei Marmi
Situated between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Alpuane
Alps making its climate particularly mild, Forte dei Marmi has a
smooth beach with a long length of soft sand gently sloping down
into the blue Versilian sea making it particularly suitable for
children.
Clean and un-polluted sea water and well equipped beach clubs make
it one of the most refined beaches in Europe. Forte dei Marmi is
situated close to many places of interest, such as Florence, Siena,
Lucca, Pisa, the Cinque Terre, Carrara marble quarries, and many
others, otherwise through breathtaking routes of the alpine paths
discovering the suggestive Tyrrhenian coastline and the Alpuan mountains.
When you are in Forte dei Marmi you can shop in high class boutiques
opened by the most famous designers, or you can go to its traditional
open air markets, you can play golf, tennis, football, horse riding,
or simply the ideal place for cycling through the green landscape
or in the town centre enjoying the tranquillity of Versilia, or
visit Art exhibitions, or the Versiliana Festival and theatre or
dine in one of the charming maze of restaurants and trattorie which
offer you typical sea and Tuscan food, your evenings can be elighten
by a visit to the "La Capannina" to the more modern, from
piano bars to pubs or coffee shops where illustrious characters
enlighten their day. Forte dei Marmi also provides great entertainment

Viareggio
The little town of Viareggio was
founded in the year 1200 as a fisher village – today it is
considered to be the pearl of the Versilia – with its historical
baths, the long sandy beaches. Itis the most famous of the holiday
resorts in the Versilia, prestigious and very chic. The beach of
fine golden sand is very wide. The attractive strand promenade with
the exclusive designer shops, sophisticated cafés, restaurants,
bars and night clubs offers everything for the most discerning of
guests.
Massarosa
Many characteristics villages such as Pieve a Elici,
Gualdo or Montigiano are situated in the municipality of Massarosa,
which lies in the North of Tuscany – on the hills between
Lucca and the sea. You have stunning views from these villages onto
the wonderful landscape and in the same time you may discover a
nature of breathtaking beauty.
Pieve a Elici is famous for its
concerts which take place in the church during summer. There is
an open-air opera festival which is held during July and August
at the lake Massaciuccoli
The park of Migliarino, extends
on 24’000 hectares with views onto the sea; the park offers
a lot of history, antique dunes and wonderful pine woods reaching
the lake of Massaciuccoli, the latter has a faun and flora of a
special beauty. Lovers of the opera have the possibility to visit
the Puccini festival which is held in a magnificent amphitheatre
with the lake of Massaciuccoli as a background. The most important
operas of the “maestro” are performed during this event.
Guests may do a trip by boat on the lake to discover the archaeological
area where there are still remains of a villa and a Roman spring.
The beaches of the Versilia are within an easy reach.
